Should I fly with Malindo Air?

That depends on what kind of traveler that you are and what other choices are available for the dates that you wish to travel.  Unlike Jetstar, who follow the low cost carrier model where you pay for different tiers of baggage allowance as well as basic refreshments, Malindo are a premium carrier who, similar to Virgin Australia, provide these inclusions to every passenger.

Pros:

-25 kg checked baggage, compared to 23 kg with Virgin Australia, and none with Jetstar.

-Direct flights, operating 7 days per week.

-No blackout dates or seasonality on sale seats (subject to availability of course)

-Bookable through all travel agencies within the GDS, so it is not necessary to book online.

Cons:

-Have only been around since 2013, as of yet unproven within the Brisbane to Bali route.

-Unlike Jetstar, Malindo do not operate a Dreamliner, however for passengers with long legs, extra legroom seats can be purchased for an additional fee.
